1.What city are you currently in and what do you love most about this city?
I’m currently in Cape Town. It’s the most beautiful city in the world, and I travel a lot, so I have a good perspective on this.
Cape Town is very special to me. It’s the only city I would every live in.
What I love most about Cape Town is that you can literally be on a mountain or a beach in 10 minutes. There’s so much variation in this city.
2.Your favourite hangout spot in your home town is?
I love going to eGugulethu. There’s an amazing braai place just off the N1. Rands in Khayelitsha is also one of my favourite hangout spots.
3.A song that perfectly describes your country right now?
With regards to corruption it would have to be “Move bitch get out of the way”! As South Africans we need to make a change. I’m sick and tired of South AfriCANT, we need to be South AfriCANS!
4.What is on your music playlist currently?
I only listen to musical theatre and classical opera.
5.What are you reading?
I’m currently reading “Book The Fucking Job”. It’s an acting book written by Anthony Meindl.
6.What would you say is the biggest artistic impact Africa has had on the world?
I think our authenticity. The beauty of Africa lies in what is real and authentic to us in our everyday life. Take our African garments for example, people in Kenya are wearing their print outfits as they go about their daily lives, but internationally, they take the same garments and put it on a runway and call it high fashion.
7.What is that one African dish you wish the entire world knew about?
Oh my God! Definitely sheep head and tripe!
8.What does your name mean?
Sivuyile means “we are happy” in Xhosa.
9.If you had one super power what would it be and why?
I wish had the ability to make people’s dreams come true. Even if I couldn’t make my own dreams come true, I’d like to make other people’s dreams come true.
10.If you weren’t a famous media personality what would you be?
I wish I’d be dead if I wasn’t doing what I was born to do.
