Girls With Gains (GWG) is a fitness and lifestyle brand centered around health and wellness for individuals on the go. It was founded in 2018 by two young women Siya and Thabsie. GWG is a vibrant boot camp and fitness community for girls which encourages them to live a healthy lifestyle and be fabulous at the same time! Siya and Thabsie are two young women who work tirelessly every day to realise their dreams of becoming the best in their chosen fields. They are go-getters who love a creative challenge and constantly seek to push the envelope in whatever it is they do.
Their passion for people and fitness is what birthed the company. Their approach to health and wellness is living a holistic life, where the focus is not only on physical attributes/gains, but also feeling good from the inside out.
The GWG slogan is “Don’t let your goals, stop your gains” and this speaks to women (and men) who are busy chasing their dreams, but are still dedicated to becoming better versions of themselves.
Why did you start the GWG boot camp?
“We started Boot camps last year which seek to educate, entertain and empower attendees. Boot camps are fast becoming the “in thing”, so it is easy for your brand to go unnoticed. We knew what would be our drawcard for our events and we worked on ensuring the experience for each one was different. Organising an event can be very stressful and that is a challenge in itself. But other than that, we were clear from the beginning of the year what we wanted to do with our brand and the Boot camps, we think we achieved that. As much as we would have liked to host more this year, our schedules unfortunately didn’t allow us to.”
This year, GWG plans to take their brand up a notch. They want to combine their passions to create an eventing experience that has not been done in SA, so they are really excited about that.

Their future plans include growing the brand, creating greater awareness of what holistic wellness is all about and hoping to introduce their very own sports luxe apparel range and swimwear line.
