Finding the best foundation that works perfectly for your skin and gives you a flawless look is very difficult. I have been searching for the perfect foundation for the longest time. After researching, tweeting YouTubers, visiting beauty stores, and reading quite a number of beauty reviews, I finally decided to try out the Lancôme Teint Idol Ultra Wear foundation. Most people recommend it as a great foundation for dark-skinned women.
I went to Edgars to enquire about the foundation and the beautiful lady that helped me decided to give me a sample to try out over a few days with the option to go back and purchase it if I liked it. She gave me a sample of the Lancôme foundation, concealer and their primer. I tried these products out and I loved them so much. It gave me such a flawless look and it blended in so well with my skin, so I decided to go back and purchase the foundation.
This foundation is said to be long lasting and provides full coverage without feeling cakey, leaving your skin feeling comfortable all day. With its great staying power, the 24-hour foundation allows you to go out and be your best without needing to retouch on the go. Teint Idole Ultra Wear is transfer free and smudge free which is a total bonus!
I am currently on Accutane which has a drying effect on my skin. I was worried that the foundation would leave my skin feeling drier. However, fortunately for me, this foundation is not completely matte. It has a dewy finish and when you wear the foundation it does not feel heavy. Sometimes I even forget that I am wearing foundation. I am very happy with this foundation and most people compared it to the Fenty Beauty foundation which is quite popular and has great reviews!
Another great thing about this foundation is that it has an SPF. It is so important to wear sunscreen every day. Do not leave the house without sunscreen, especially if you are a woman of colour. Always try to invest in a foundation that has an SPF, it really is vital.
I bought this Lancôme Teint Idol Ultra Wear foundation at the Sandton City Edgars store for R550,00. My skin shade is Colour 14 which I think is the third darkest shade they have. Lancôme has quite a wide range of shades, 40 shades to be exact, so it should be very easy for one to find their perfect match.
To all my dark-skinned women who are battling to find a great foundation, I would highly recommend you try out this foundation. It is quite pricey, but one pump goes a long way and it is 30ml, so it should last you quite a while.
Lastly, always remember to be your own kind of beautiful.
Xoxo
