There was a rumour floating around amongst Africans in 2018 after a pattern was being picked up. Sauti Sol were releasing what seemed like would be a greatest hits collection on the regular. Monthly, hit after hit was put out by the Kenyan locals for the rest of the world to enjoy.
Was this the unconventional route taken to release an album? Delighted in 2019 they finally released a compiled collection of their tracks from 2018. A complete effort with new tracks continuing to spread their vast messages across the world.
Add to this their 10-year anniversary of the release of their first album, Sauti Sol has made us fall in love with them all over again. Gifting us an album with love songs and club bangers being heard all over the world. Surely an international award is due to the boy band… For now, I find myself signing up to learn Swahili as to not mess up their lyrics any more.
