Ghanian Born, New York Fashion Institute of Design graduate Ruby Buah has enjoyed the fruits of her jewellery-making labour since opening her upscale boutique in Labone, Accra. Her prestigious collection includes clutch bags, beaded jewellery and clothing born out of the pleasure of recreating and repurposing everyday African print fabrics into a work of art.
Inspired by her mother, KUA, which refers to Keeping Us Authentic, is bringing its culture meets cosmopolitan experience to a close after a successful run in Atlanta, Los Angeles, and Miami, respectively. Admirers of all that glitters can expect the final leg of the design to take place in Washington D.C. (July 23) and New York (July 30).
