Although women wield the bulk of SA buying power, women entrepreneurs are largely under represented in SA, especially within the retail sector.
During International Women’s Month Uber Eats is launching its inaugural Women’s Collective initiative. The initiative will invest in 4 women owned retail businesses by funding the launch and operations of their stores on Uber Eats for the month of March. Uber Eats will also fund marketing campaigns and seek to bring more customer awareness and revenue to these businesses during this time.
The launch of this initiative will be aimed at unpacking how the founders of these businesses have managed to reach commercial success in the retail sector through the use of technology.
