Meet Lynn & Xavier of Passport2Life…
1.How did you meet?
Lynn: We met on Women’s Day in 2016. I booked a portfolio photoshoot with Xavier, we had an immediate connection and have been best friends ever since
Xavier: She came as a client and never left! 🙂
2.Why do you think you work well together?
Lynn: I think it’s a combination of respect and trust. Enough trust to speak honestly about anything and enough respect to know that there are boundaries in any friendship. We are also very comfortable with each other which means we can do almost anything together, from really serious, meaningful conversations or deeply spiritual experiences to hilariously crazy and fun moments. It’s easy being around each other.
Xavier: Who says we work! We are just following our passion for travel, adventure and ticking each other’s bucket list whilst creating memories.
3.What would you say is Lynn’s/Xavier’s best quality?
Lynn: Xavier doesn’t get attached to things or people which means he has no need to own or control anyone. He is a whole person, so we complement each other very well. That is what I appreciate most about him.
Xavier: She has a great taste in photographers… but apart from having a keen eye for beauty, she is a person of depth, both emotionally and spiritually and just easy to be with. She is a great friend, a fantastic support and a laugh a minute.
4.What do people not know about Lynn/Xavier?
Lynn: He is highly intuitive, he knows things without knowing. Xavier is multi-talented and deeply passionate. Maybe people know this about him but it’s only when you actually spend time with him, have read his novel, listened to his music, seen his photographic collections and listened to him tell stories about his life; only then will you begin to learn just how talented and passionate he really is.
Xavier: I think some people online erroneously think she is not approachable, when she’s the total opposite!
5.Do you see yourself working together in the next 5 years?
Lynn: 5 years is a long time but I can definitely see us doing a whole lot of amazing things together in the next 5 years.
Xavier: I don’t even know where I’ll be in the next month, such is my life… but as long as I’m here, we will most likely be doing amazing things together.
6.What are you busy with this month of love?
Lynn: We have just launched Passport 2 Life so we are spending a big chunk of our time on promoting the YouTube channel and growing our audience. We have to stay ahead in terms of creating content, so we are busy shooting future episodes. We are still busy finding our feet, settling into a rhythm and identifying what works best and what doesn’t at all. It’s an exciting time.
Xavier: I’m too busy to be thinking about Love! I live for my work and my travels and currently, apart from building our new blog “Passport 2 Life,” I am launching a new music single with Moozlie, traveling to Namibia again to raise funds to build a borehole in the desert for my Himba family, shooting celebs on a weekly basis, planning a music video, shooting weddings for my extraordinary clients, promoting my new wedding biz called “Wedding Fash” by giving one of the best prizes ever… 20k towards your next wedding, courtesy of moi… and all of that while trying to get some rest in between!
7.What advice would you give to people looking for a business partner?
Lynn: To start off, you should share the same vision and be equally passionate about your project. A good business partner is someone with integrity and someone who you can trust and depend on. You should also be able to challenge each other.
Xavier: Work with someone who “gets” you, someone who balances you. Work ought to be fun too. It’s not all about money… I think the whole point is to build something… build something that means a heck of a lot to you, something that is a legacy. If you don’t care about what you do, you will be miserable doing it. Find what makes your heart come alive and follow that.
