Meet Victoria, a 26 year old beautiful and passionate African woman based in Accra, Ghana. Vicky is half Ghanaian and half Congolese. Vicky was based in Paris working as a Management Consultant but decided to move and settle in Ghana. Vicky has a passion for Business Management and is working towards building a farm and an independent record label. Vicky has a Business Administration Degree, Master in Business Management and a MSC in Strategic and Change Management.
She does modelling on the side and blogs her travel experiences whenever she has the opportunity to travel. She does not recall how she got into modelling but she remembers taking pictures of herself and outfit of the day at nice locations. She would do this during her leisure time and after that she started being approached by fashion photographers who wanted to work with her.
With regards to travelling, whenever she had time to travel she would take pictures and talk about her experience. Vicky has travelled to about 10 countries, she mentioned that she visits a lot of cities. When she visits a country, she likes to explore the different cities in that country. For example, when she went to the United Kingdom and Ghana, she made it a point to travel to the different cities and places in those countries. She has travelled to about 40 cities. In Ghana specifically she travelled to about 10 places, if she were to pick a favourite place in Ghana it would have to be Busua. She describes her experience as amazing, the people and environment was pleasant, calm and therapeutic. Vicky mentioned that most of her friends are travel bloggers and that inspires her and motivates her to travel often.
Vicky is very passionate about Africa, she believes that there is so much to learn about the history, people, language, traditions, economies and culture. Vicky spends quite a bit of time reading books that have to do with Africa to increase her knowledge as an African woman. In five years, Vicky sees herself owning a very successful record label which supports artists who do not have the support they need to be successful. She also sees herself with a successful farming company in Ghana, she hopes to partner with farmers in Ivory Coast.

Money, status and power? Put these in order of importance and give a reason why?
For me, I think power, money and status. Power can generate money and status.
How much effort goes into creating content?
People may think that it is easy to create content but it is actually very time consuming. For me, content creating includes finding nice locations and getting good lighting. Being in Ghana, it is difficult to create content as some places and locations do not allow cameras. So it becomes a mission when you have to ask for permission and try and negotiate with owners. Editing also takes a chunk of my time hence I lean more towards pictures.
What advice would you give to your younger self?
Always believe in yourself and be confident. You are capable of achieving so many things. It is vital to keep pushing and not let anybody tell you that you cannot.
