Moziak Magazine: How are you social distancing during this period?
Tresor: I am staying at home, writing, recording and doing everything on my own and go out to get some groceries when I can.
MM: Where do you wish you were right now?
Tresor: I am happy here in my home and I am grateful. I wish I was in my hometown Goma, next to a lake with my whole family.
MM: Name 3 positive things about the world almost coming to a standstill
Tresor: We get to let nature breath. Less pollution for the planet and also, we get to reconnect as humanity cause after all it’s what the world needed.
MM: Name 5 things you plan to achieve whilst in “quarantine”
Tresor: Write more music. Staying healthy mentally, spiritually and physically. Learn to make few dishes. Plan the growth of my business outside of music and plan the year musically.
MM: What surprising item made your shopping list?
Tresor: Wasabi Peanuts
MM: Did you stock up on additional toilet paper?
Tresor: Not at all, I think it’s unnecessary.
MM: Have any important plans or activities of yours been cancelled/postponed because of the coronavirus?
Tresor: Yes. I actually got caught in the madness a few days before lockdown in New York whilst on my way to Los Angeles to record for a week or two. We had to make a very urgent U turn and luckily made it home safely and on time. Shows got cancelled as well as an exciting European trip in May has been postponed till we are allowed to fly again not sure what that will happen.
MM: In a year’s time when you look back, what do you think you will be saying about this period?
Tresor: More than anything, it was awakening for humanity to take care of the world.
MM: What advice do you have for people who are struggling with the idea of social distancing?
Tresor: My advice would be, in this period, it’s the most crucial thing the world needs right now, and we all need to play a part to break the cycle. It’s a small momentary sacrifice that we’ll never regret.
MM: What are you looking forward to the most when the coronavirus pandemic is over?
Tresor: I look forward to getting back into the swing of things. Release new music, travel, enjoy work and spend great times with friends and family.
