South African celebrities and socialites had social media buzzing about their dazzling outfits at the annual Durban July event, hosted by Hollywood Bets. This year’s betting and fashion extravaganza was themed “Show Me, The Honey.” Understanding the assignment, Mzansi’s fashionistas stuck to the theme and gave us head-turning looks!
Gold, ivory, yellow and other warmer tones were the common theme. Hats, feathers, and glitter were also a common themes among the attendees.
Socialite, Sithelo Shozi won the fashion hearts of many by adorning a glitzy cream-white, lace-infused number with loose puffy sleeves and frills. She complimented the look with a gorgeous pixie cut – exuding natural elegance. The gorgeous dress was designed by fashion entrepreneur, Owethu Sidoyi.

Media personality and reality TV star Somizi Mhlongo showed up and showed off! Styled by Obakeng Ranthlane Somgaga wowed social media users with flowy ivory and tan outerwear – matched with pants that had similar patterning. Being a fashionista, Somizi completed the outfit with a voguish headband with butterfly decorations. Like a real superstar, Somgaga showed up to the event with a crew who wore outfits that complimented his stunning outfit.

Serving us golden honey, DJ and media personality Thuli Phongolo adorned a classy high-low ball gown from OM Style Avenue by fashion designer Orapeleng Modutle. The dress consisted of golden, glass-like ornaments in the bust and torso area. Sticking to a gold and glitter theme, Thuli coupled the dress with a golden pair of heels.

Music entrepreneur DJ Tira adorned a modish, royal purple suit with light black-and-white patterning. The suit was from the well-known fashion brand House of Ole by Ole Ledimo.

Entrepreneur and musician Boity rocked a glitzy ivory mini-dress, with flowy sleeves and fluffy edging. Like a true queen, Boity adorned a golden crown to complete the simple, yet elegant look.

Giving us “high-tea party” vibes, media personality Minnie Dlamini adorned a floral, cool-toned knee-length dress by fashion designer Jessica Jane Molebatsi. Sticking to the common theme of hats, Minnie complemented the dress with a stylish white hat by celebrity stylist, Anita Ferreira.
