1.What city are you currently in and what do you love most about this city?
Johannesburg. The thing I love most about Jozi are the trees, and the nostalgia brought on by the fact that so many parts of the city remind me of Sydney, Australia.

The Royale, Craighall Park.

Rara by Tekno (Just replace the Naija references with SA ones)
4.What is on your music playlist currently?
A lot of French and Francophone African music: Maitre Gims, MHD, Naza and Aya Nakamura… I’m also loving Mavin Records’ new artist Rema.
5.What are you reading?
A couple of books: The Zulus of New York by Zakes Mda and The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck by Mark Manson.
6.What would you say is the biggest artistic impact Africa has had on the world?
Everything that came as a consequence of the transatlantic slave trade, good or bad.
7.What is that one African dish you wish the entire world knew about?
Skhobo, steamed bread and chakalaka!
8.What does your name mean?
My name directly addresses God for him to be thanked for my birth.
9.If you had one super power what would it be and why?
Flying — it’s a recurring dream I have.

A writer of children’s books.
