Enyo Liz Bruku the Ghanaian wanderer, as she calls herself, is travelling and exploring all parts of Ghana and is living her best life. She calls herself the Ghanaian wanderer and not a travel blogger because she does not document or write about her travel experiences. She has been to many different parts of Ghana and has turned her travel experience into a business.
“I am a Ghanaian wanderer who is on the quest to discover parts of my country be it cultural or historical. I hope to explore other parts of the African continent too.” says Enyo.
Enyo is very passionate about the people of Ghana and Ghana itself. Enyo has visited quite a number of places in Ghana and she usually visits the same places repeatedly. Two places stood out for Enyo and that is the Western region and Volta region. She loves visiting Western region because of the history, diverse cultures, lush vegetation and clean beaches. She says that it was quite an experience for her and she enjoyed every moment. She thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Volta region and emphasised that it is a region that definitely needs to be explored by everyone.
Her top five dream places to visit are Morocco, Kenya, Egypt, Ethiopia and Togo. She wants to visit Morocco because of their rich culture and she loves the architecture and décor. She would love to visit Kenya because of their wild reserves and she would love to live with the Maasai to learn and gain insight on how they were able to maintain different aspects of their culture. She would like to visit Egypt mainly for the Egyptian civilisation, she finds it mind blowing. She is attracted to Ethiopia due to their old churches and lastly Togo as she sees Togo as her second home, and she would not mind visiting again.
Enyo has turned her love for travel into a business. She provides touring services to tourists from all over the world. She also offers these services to fellow Ghanaians who want to get deeper insights on the history and culture of Ghana. Enyo Bruku Travels covers all things and places in Ghana. Her touring services cater for everyone’s needs. These tours cover affordable accommodation, group getaways and so much more. She turned this to a business because of her love for her country, its rich heritage and culture. Her sole aim is to show people the Ghana she loves so much.
“What better way to get to know a country by someone who explores and know her motherland well?” questions Enyo.
Her favourite bloggers are Spirited Pursuit (@spiritedpursuit), Wendy Watta (@wattaonthego) and Jack Morris (@doyoutravel). Enyo’s advice to young people is to be mindful of the decisions they make today since they will be the consequences of the future be it positive or negative. Her all-time favourite quote is:
“The lack of a silver spoon has set you on a certain path but you need not stay on it. If you are prepared to adapt and learn you can transform.”
I asked her what would she tell her younger self and she said:
“It is your life and live it how you want to. Make your own decisions as long as they make you happy, go for it.”
