Once again Tresor has found a way to create a very interesting mix of Afrocentric music – found in the Pop category with a strong African influence.
A welcomed surprise was the addition of various African artists from across the continent. This showcases Tresor’s ability to adapt and step out of his comfort zone. Each track mixed well into the next as you can hear the different cultural genres and influences in those tracks. Not straying too far from his more known works, you are still able to associate Nostalgia with Tresor’s previous collections.
This album shall go down well in his increasing catalogue of great music to listen to. Whether on a Sunday afternoon whilst you wind down the day cleaning, or on the assorted road trips through the landscape of modern Africa.
I thoroughly enjoyed On va bouger, Silale, Sundown and Electric Night. I highly recommend that you listen to them.
I give Nostalgia a 4 out of 5 rating.
